When the Allman Brothers took the stage at the Whiskey-A-Go Go on January 24, 1970, 46 years ago today, it was the 3rd of 4 shows at the legendary venue. At the time, the band was just about 1/2 way between 2 milestones in their career. The first official Allman Brothers band concert took place on March 30, 1969 in Jacksonville, FL. In March, 1971, the Allmans played 2 shows that were recorded for what became one of rock's most legendary live albums, entitle simply At Fillmore East. So this February performance finds the band on the rise to stardom, having just released their debut album about 2 month's earlier, in November 1969.

Thanks! I got this a few months ago and the sound is great. Surprised it hasn't been on the ABB label. This is probably the earliest known soundboard of the original Allman's in circulation.

The earliest SB is the dead recorded shows in Feb 70 @ Fillmore East. This is the July 26th 1970 Stonybrook, NY show that you can find in the you might also like links DIRECTLY above these comments. This show is a couple of weeks before the Fillmore shows.

I meant the Feb 1970 Fillmore shows that were on GD records. They were after this Whiskey show, making this 1/24/70 date the earliest known sndbrd I believe.

So is this 7-26-1970 or 1-24-70? Both posts have the same music attached. Trouble No More is mislabeled here, it's actually You Don't Love Me.
I believe this is actually the Stoneybrook 7-26-70 show. As noted in the comment above, it's the same set list and the songs are exactly the same length.
