On July 16, 2013, The Eagles launched their History of The Eagles tour, in conjunction with the release of the documentary film with the same name. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, aired on Showtime and was later released on DVD. The tour ran for over 2 years, featuring 142 shows on 3 continents. This high quality audience recording captures The Eagles during that tour in their home state of California on January 16, 2014. just 2 years ago today.

R,I,P, Glenn Frey. Speedy 2016 is not starting off very well for us music lovers is it ? Still reeling from David Bowie and now this, another legend gone, Like David the Eagles were part of an amazing soundtrack from the 70s along with Elton, Linda RonstadtMcCartney, Fleetwood Mac, Steve Miller Band, Abba, Stones, Led Zep, ecc, the list is endless, Saw an interview recently with Glenn where he discussed his friend Linda Ronstadts current health issues , they were very close, he looked tremendous not a hint of a health problem, one never knows do we ? Been a rough 10 month strech for me, Last March i found out my best friend a musician had passed away out of the blue, He and i were both Bowie and Eagle fans and would play and sing their tunes back in the day. All of our legends are now in their 60s and 70s so i guess more of this type of news is inevitable but it dosent make it hurt any less does it ? Thanks for all the great music and memories Glenn, you will always be loved and missed, Thanks again Speedy, your blog is the best
Not a good start at all to 2016. Unfortunately, Father time always is victorious. Lets appreciate the music they left us, and for those still with us, go see them when you can, because you never know when their time is up.

Dont forget Lou Reed, lost him a couple of years ago.Man this sucks. all of the great ones are old, Tom Petty and Bruce Springsteen are 65 and 66 respectivly , Jagger is 72, Keith 71 Robert Plant 67,Jimmy Page 72,Pete Townsend and Roger Daltry 70 and 71. Elton John 68, Bob Dylan 74, Paul McCartney 73, The youngest true remaining legend appears to be Bono coming in at a youthful 55, Lest i nont forget Neil Young at a spy 70 , Al of this is very scary and really starts to make you think of Mortality Agree with Speedy , appreciate them while their here because when their gone thats it no more legends, The way music is today i cant imagine anyone around today will be as revered 40 years from now
