While I've seen CSN on 6 occasions, the only time I've seen the 3 along with sometime partner Neil Young was in April 2000 during the quartet;s first tour in 25 years. It was worth the wait!
This soundboard recording captures CSNY during that infamous 1974 tour that led to that quarter century separation, on July 13, 1974, 42 years ago today, in Oakland CA. As with all the 1974 shows, this one is a mammoth affair, featuring 2 electric sets and an acoustic one, encompassing 34 songs!

Wow, Speedy, this one looks good!
I was at the historic night Nixon resigned. It was a great concert, for obvious reasons, but we were cheated out of an acoustic set -- we only got 2 acoustic songs that night. The general admission crowd was packed so tightly on the floor, people were screaming at each other to sit down and to move back, and the band complained that they couldn't hear themselves play acoustically.
When that didn't work, they gave up and went back to electric.
So this extended acoustic set looks extra sweet to me, thanks!

Once again you come through in the clutch. I remember getting the second half of this show in a tape trade back in 1985. It's great to hear the full show. Keep up the good work my friend!

Thanks Speedy, this sounds great. I think the '74 tour was their high water mark, they were at their collective, creative peak, and making it happen live. Always making and breaking with these guys, but when they were on, man, they were something else.I was at one of the tow shows they did that weekend in Oakland. How about this line-up? Opener was Jesse Colin Young, then Joe Walsh with Barnstorm, then The Band--can you believe this? That would be a great show right there--followed by the, as you said, mammoth sets by CSNY. I was at the great Roosevelt Raceway show (was that Sept. 8th, 1974?) with Joni Mitchell...perhaps that was the apex of one incredible tour!!
