In March 2008, the Counting Crows released their 5th studio album, entitled Saturday Nights & Sunday Mornings. The disc is thematically divided into two sides: the rock music of Saturday Nights and the more country-influenced Sunday Mornings. Vocalist and lyricist Adam Duritz stated that the album "is about really wanting to mean something and failing to do it. You want your life to mean something. You want to be somebody and then what you turn out to be is so much less than what you thought you were going to be." The album debuted at #3 on the Billboard 200, selling 106,00 copies in its first week.  To support the album, the band did a series of TV and radio appearances including The View, Good Morning America, A&E Private Sessions, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, The Late Show with David Letterman and the The Howard Stern Show.  This FM broadcast captures that Stern show appearance, on March 27, 2008, 11 years ago today.
