Never forget that when the Grateful Dead were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Robert Hunter, the group’s long time lyricist, was included as part of the band! That said, Hunter did not accompany the band to Woodstock, or to Watkins Glenn, for that matter, citing, his dislike for the crowds and atmosphere of large festivals. In any event,  this soundboard recording captures Hunter over 3 decades after Woodstock, in Morrison CO, on August 9, 2002, 17 years ago today.
