Today we bring you 3 posts from the day Jerry Garcia left this earth way to soon and went up to Rock & Roll heaven. The Allman Brotherss, having heard the tragic news, decided that the show must go and dedicated their performance to Jerry, This soundboard recording captures that historic show, which featured guests appearances from Chris Robinson, Marc Ford, Hook Herrera and Danny Louis, on August 9, 1995, a quarter century ago today. Thanks so much for posting this show today. I've always wanted to hear the show Warren references in Patchwork Quilt when he says "We were at Jones Beach when we got the word, saddest note we'd ever heard". A day and a night none of us can ever forget.
Thanks for all the kind comments. Jerry amd Greg may be gone but their music and spirit will always be with us.
Another great show . We can imagine their spirit when they get on the stage on that special day ...The band ( especially Haynes and Betts , they give all they have ) at the real thing .Thanks for sharing !!!
