In late 2004, U2 released How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb, their 11th studio album, and follow up to the incredibly successful disc, All That You Can't Leave Behind, released in 2000. The new release did not disappoint, going to #1 on the charts in 11 countries, including the US and UK, and winning 9 Grammy Awards. The band launched the Vertigo Tour in March 2005 in support of the album. The tour consisted of 5 legs, 131 shows and ran until December 2006. During the tour, U2 alternated between playing indoor arena concerts in North America and outdoor stadium shows in Europe, South America, Asia and Australia. This IEM recording captures the band in Portland on December 19, 2005, 19 years ago today.
