The first 3 times I saw Jerry Garcia, all in the late 1970s & early 1980s, his long time song writing partner Robert Hunter served as his lead in band. Hearing Hunter live is always a unique experience, as his take on the countless tunes he wrote with Jerry is often so different than how they sound when played by the Grateful Dead, This soundboard recording capture's Hunter in Carlisle on February 26, 1983, 34 years ago today. Hunter’s set includes his version of Run For The Roses, a tune he and Jerry co-wrote around that time and which Garcia released on an album of the same name.Interestingly, while Hunter often served as Garcia's lead in act, on this night Jerry was 3000 miles away, playing a show in Palo Alto!

My good man...invest in a GPS. Palo Alto is 3000 miles from Carlisle, not 300. :)
Actually, I need to invest in someone who can type and proof read, as I clearly can't! Typo all fixed!
I believe this is a good audience recording, not a soundboard. The audience is quite load for it to be a Sbd, although Hunter comes through quite clearly.

I gave it another listen, and it probably is a sbd. The original low levels mentioned in the link, may account for the shortcomings. This is still a very nice recording and a nice addition to my Hunter collection. Thank you for sharing, it is appreciated.
