In 1985, Bruce Springsteen sang on the We Are The World single designed to raise awareness and money for famine relief in Africa.  He did not, however, accept Bob Geldorf's invitation to play at the Wenbley portion of Live Aid, something he has expressed regret about ever since. perhaps that's why Springsteen became a founding member of WhyHunger’s Artists Against Hunger and Poverty (AAH&P) program, supporting their annual Hungerthon fund raising efforts by donating guitars and other memorabilia for the drive's charity auctions.

Springsteen is one of our featured artists this month, not only because of his work with WhyHungr but also becasue of his countless other charitable endeavors.
