Earlier this month, we posted a show from Marshall Crenshaw, noting that he had performed at the 1999 Hungerthon concert.  What I didn't know until I cam across this FM Broadcast just 2 days ago, is that Crenshaw also played a Hungerthon Benefit on November 22, 1992, 2 dozen years ago today,  And what a show it was.  Crenshaw, backed by Joey Ramone and almost the entire E-Street Band, played for over 2 hours, taking requests for a $125 donation per song! They play an incredible array of tunes, covering everyone from Bobby Darin and Judy Garland to the Beatles and Led Zeppelin! This a a real gem and deserves a spot in everyone's music collection. By the way, the show is hosted by long time WNEW-FM Djs Vin Scelsa and Dave Herman, who briefly defected to WXRK in the early 1990s before retirning home to WNEW.
