What would a month "deadicated" to the Grateful Dead be without a post from a GD cover/tribute band. Of course, JRAD has a bit more credibility tha most such bands since their leader, drummer Joe Russo, was part of Furthur with Bob Weir and Phil Lesh, as well as a member of the 2014 line up of Phil & Friends. This soundboard matrix recording captures JRAD on September 19. 2014, 3 years ago today, in Chicago.  By the way, I first learned about JRAD in June 2015 the pl;ayed the 6th Annual Songs Of Love Benefit Concert at Webster Hall. Songs of Love is a non-profit foundation that creates free, personalized, original songs to uplift children and teens currently facing tough medical, physical or emotional challenges. A good friend of mine is on the Board Of Directors. If you love music and love to help kids, then visit their site and make a donation. And if you know a youngster facing tough issues, contact them and request a free song.
