The Tedeschi Trucks Band has several interesting connection to the Grateful Dead. Derek Trucks had a stint as lead guitarist for Phil Lesh & Friends in 1999.  Susan Tedeschi played with the Other Ones in 2002. The duo sat in with Phil & Friends at the Lockin Festival in August 2016 and covered several Dead tunes, including Mr. Charlie and Sugaree. The Tedeschi Trucks Band often plays Sugaree live, usually seguing in and out of Angel of Montgomery, as you can see and hear in this video.
