Another "solo" show from a member of the band in our month long tribute to the Grateful Dead, this soundboard recording captures the first Phil & Friends show on September 24, 1994, 23 years ago today. The friends this time, however, were Grateful Dead band mates Jerry Garcia, Bob Weir and Vince Welnick, who joined Phil for a joyous acoustic set. As far as I can tell, it’s the last time members of the Dead performed an acoustic show.

Thanks for the great post. For 1994, Jerry is in great voice. Not sure what the "only acoustic version ever" means next to "Throwing Stones" (only acoustic version by PL&F?) but it reminded me of a very nice acoustic version done by Jerry/Bob at the Bridge School in 1988.
Very cool set with great sound. I also remember Bob playing an acoustic Throwing Stones with Go Ahead in Phoenix 1988
Thanks for this, speedy!
