Tedeschi Trucks Band - 2011-06-29 - London UK (FM)

After touring together in 2007 as the Derek Trucks  & Susan Tedeschi's Soul Stew Revival, the husband & wife duo merged their respective groups to form the Tedeschi Trucks Band in 2010.[ the newly formed band released their first album in 2011, entitled Revelator.  The album went to #12 on the Billboard Charts, and won a Grammy for best blues album.  This FM broadcast captures the band on tour in support of Revelator on June 29, 2011, 8 years ago today.

Tedeschi Trucks/Allman Brothers Connections

• Derek Trucks played guitar for the Allman Brothers from 1999 to 2014.
• Derek's uncle Butch Trucks, was a founding member of the Allman Brothers.
• Oteil Burbridge, base played for Tedeschi Trucks, also played bass for the Allman Brothers from 1997 to 2014.
• During the Allmans 40th anniversary run at the Beacon in 2009, Susan Tedeschi sat in with them at the March 19 and March 23 shows,
• The Tedeschi Trucks Band has played at Warren Haynes Christmas Jam in 2015.  Derek played the event in 2009, and both Susan & Derek played the Christmas Jam in 1999.
