I've seen David Crosby live 8 times - 6 with CSN, once with CSNY and most recently, a solo show in 2015 a the Morristown PAC. Crosby is just one of 2 artists (Bruce Springsteen is the other), that I have seen live in 5 different decades (1970s, 1980s, 1990s, 2000s and 2010s). This soundboard recording captures Crosby on his own in Albany on November 14, 1981, 38 years ago today.

A very nice show. The first 7 tracks are solo acoustic. They are about what you'd expect from Croz. However tracks 8-12 are electric and have a really cool sound. Tony Saunders (Merl's son) is on bass, Jay David is on drums, and Carl Scwinnerman is on lead guitar. Well worth hearing. Long Time Gone is the encore.

Thx. At least a very interesting and kind of intense show. But obviously from the darkest period in Crosby's life which make it a bit painful to listen to in parts.
His addiction was really bad at this point, that is why the sets are so short. He needed his fix.
