I saw Pat Benatar twice in the early 1980s, once on November 22, 1980 at the Palladium in New York and then again on August 1, 1981 at the South Mountain Music Fair in West Orange NJ. The 2nd show is notable because its the same night that MTv debuted. Ms. Benatar's cover of the Rascal's tune You Better Run was the 2nd video ever played on MTv, following the most appropriate Video Killed The Radio Star.  This Fm broadcast captures Pat a year prior to the forst time I saw her, in Cleveland on November 6, 1979, 40 years ago today,  Pat was on tour in support of her debut album, In The Heat of The Night, which went to #12 on the Billbaord charts and made Ms. Benatar a star!
