As the 1980’s became the 1990’s, the Allman Brothers, who had disbanded in 1982, once again revived their career. The band reformed in 1989, on the heels on Greg Allman’s solo success with the song I’m No Angel and renewed public interest after the release of the Dreams box set to commemorate the band’s 20th anniversary. Original members Allman, Dickey Betts, Jai Johanny "Jaimoe" Johanson and Butch Trucks were joined by new members Warren Haynes, Johnny Neel and Allen Wood, infusing the band with additional energy. Moreover, Betts and Haynes gave the band a dynamic one two punch on guitar, reminiscent of the glory days of the early 1970s. The newly reformed band would play live for nother quarter century, until their final shiow in 2014! This soundboard recording captures the Allman's in New Orleans on May 5, 2007, 19 years ago today.
