Here’s the 3rd and final part of our Jerry Garcia “Same Tour, Different Show” entry from 1989. This soundboard captures Jerry, with Clarence Clemons once again sitting in, on September 16, 1989, 25 years ago today. By the way, at one point, Garcia and Weir actually considered inviting Clarence to join the Grateful Dead as a full time member. According to Weir, it was in the early 1990s, right after Springsteen broke up the E-Street band (temporarily, it turned out).
