Neil Young is another 2 time inductee into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, as a solo artist in 1995 and with Buffalo Springfield in 1997. The 1995 class also included The Allman Brothers Band, Janis Joplin, Led Zeppelin, Al Green, Frank Zappa & Martha and the Vandellas. Eddie Vedder handled Neil’s induction speech, with came just a few weeks before Neil & Pearl Jam released the album Mirror Ball together. By the way, when Buffalo Springfield was inducted in 1997, Tom Petty made the induction speech. We’ll discuss more about that class in our CSN post later this month. This soundboard recording captures Neil on September 21, 1986, 29 years ago today.
