Hi Speedy, Thanks for posting / re-posting this message and for 'never forgetting'. We need to remain vigilant in our fight for all the freedoms we hold true in this still great nation. On this Day of Remembrance, we remember the fallen and the brave who gave all for those freedoms that terrible day. God Bless you for this great website and for continuing to provide a great comfort to us who love re-discovering the music. It is a great musical refuge in a very dangerous world. We must never forget those we lost, those brave men and women who risked their on lives to respond and the families and friends of those victims who suffer every day with the loss. And f this site can provide any comfort in the days of grief, then its been worth every minute of the effort that I've put into it!
Let us also not forget the brave men and women who lost their lives in the wars following 9/11. I firmly believe that the wars were wrong, but that should not prevent us from thanking/remembering those who gave their lives (or received serious injuries) fighting these wars.

Thanks for the reminder Speedy, I also agreed with going after Bin Laden and the animals responsible for 9 11, Unfortunatly I feel Iraq is where our leaders fumbled the ball. Not in the initial phases where we ended Saddam:s reign in a month but the aftermath where we tried to nation build. We should have gone in ,kicked butt, taken names , said don't mess with us and left.Im sure they would have gotten he message. But we had to stay and try to rebuild their country and what for, same with Afganistan . These people in their minds are still living in the tenth century and have not appreciated one thing We tried to do. Look at Iraq today after all the sacrifices of our brave soldiers the country is worse than the days of Saddam. People have to want change. I personally wish we could just completely cut off all ties with the middle east and their barbaric ways but with a stern warning that says , better not mess with us or our allies or risk devastating consequences . Im sure those cowards would get the message but our leaders today if you can call them that are so politically correct that we are afraid to do anything for fear of offending someone. Example . do you remember the Iran hostage crises back in 79 , Jimmy Carter spent over a year trying to negotiate their release with kind gentle back and forth descussions all to no avail. When he loses the 80 electon to Reagan what happens,the hostiges are quickly released, a coincidence, I doubt it . Someone was now going to take office that commanded respect and fear. They knew what would be in store for them if they didn't comply and they responded as all cowards do. Our current president dosent exactly command the same type of fear now does he .he seems indecisive confused and more concerned with his golf game than protecting americans. I was outraged when he went back to the golf course after what happened to that poor journilest in Iraq, What has happened to the leadership in this country Speedy. This president is in my opinion the worst leader this country has ever had. He refuses to listen to his military advisers, wont close the Mexican borders even though it has been reported that people from the middle east , Syria, Pakistan,ecc have been getting through. Our allies are disgusted with him and are apprehensive about building a coalition with the US to fight terror because they have no faith in this man and his ability to lead. Now we have to worry about home grown terrorists who are going to these barbaric countries to train and then come back here to harm us. France and the UK started letting in people from these radical mideastern countries years ago and now have an epidemic on their hands. The man that did these horirible beheadings recently had a british accent. These people are trying to indoctrinate people from other countries into their evil cause the way Hitler did with German the german youth in the 1940s. A friend of mine just returned from a europeon trip and said that France and England are being overrun by these radicals and I fear that this country is heading down the same path if we don't stop allowing everyone to come here. Been reading the many anti Obama comments, I completely agree that he is not a strong leader and seems unconcerned about the safety of americans based on his nonchalant carefree attitude . When you see him posing with troops while giving one of his many teloprompter speeches , the troups in back of him look pretty disgusted .His foreign policy decisions will in my opinion hurt the country, by not being aggressive with the enemy and his failure to do anything about the border will only inspire the people that want to harm us. One thing though that others have failed to touch on in these comments is the Iraq war. Why did we ever go there? Why did we ever go there, They were never a threat to us and had nothing to do with 9/11. Saddam was about as Islamic as you or I , He was a capitalist if anything. granted he was a brutal dictator who treated his people horribly but what did that have to do with us or 9/11. Going after Bin Ladin andhis coharts was the right thing Iraq was where Bush blew it , He assumed that their people would appreciate what we did and so far they have not. There are so many factions over there Saddam knew how to keep order as brutal as he was. he basicly kept the terrorists under control. Now that he is gone and his army has ben disbanded we see what has happened , Iraq is now a hotbed for terrorists with either corrupt or no leadership its a total mess. I compare Saddam to Castro, horrible person and brutal dictator but no threat to the US and in fact in the case of Saddam may have actually helped us by staying in power as the terrorists would have been too afraid of him to use Iraq as a breeding ground and safe haven which they are doing today. I know those are controvercial statements but think about it. Where was there ever a connection between Saddam and 9/11 or any of the muslum radicals. Im not the only one who feels this way, and oh yes there were no weapons of mass destruction , I feel that if as much effort had been made in going after Al quida now ISAS and theses radical groups as we gave in Iraq then we would be much better off today but because of all the years wasted in Iraq , today we have more terror than ever and someone as inefficient as Obama to try to protect us. there was a movie made in the early 60s called the Manchurian candidate in which a man is brainwashed by by his captors during the Korean war. The man is then released and becomes a polititicion who runs for president of theUS. The motive being that the enemy would have its puppet in place in the White House. Moveon.org isencouraging the country to admit thousands of Syrian refugees into this country which could lead to some terrorists getting through as well , as sad as their plight is, we should not allow this to happen. The entire middle east is a mid evil violent cultured sespool and if this occurs we could become like France very quickly. Had 9/11 just happened we would not even be considering this but Obama im sure cant wait to welcome them and their 10th century barbaric idiology over here to possibly harm our citizens
This is a music blog - it was never my intent for this post to start a political debate. I just wanted us all to remember the tragedy of that day, say a prayer for those we lost and their families and be thankful for what we have.
TY makes a good point, Bush certainly fumbled the ball by going to IRAQ and wasted billions of dollars and thousands of our brave service peoples lives when he should have focused on who was responsible for 9/11 and his border policies were not very good, but i still felt safer with him in office than with the current president Bush 'es main fault was being stubborn and lets face it he is not the brightest bulb in the lamp so yes he was far from perfect. But he wasnt releasing Gitmo inmates and welcoming refugees to this country while apologizing for America to other foreign countries . Iraq is a hotbed for terrorists now because Obama removed all the troups who were there to stabilize the region, Granted we never should have been over there at all but once we were we needed to finish the job, Saddam actually helped to control the terrorists as they were afraid of him and wouldnt dare to try anything in Iraq while he was in power, Saddam never did anything to us so yes that is on Bush. However none of this means that Obama is a strong leader by removing all the troups just allowed terrorism to spread. also Bush never had any problem saying the words muslim terrorist something Obama cant seem to bring himself to do Also the rules of engagement that are placed on our military makes it almost impossible to win any war, We could wipe out ISIS in short order if the handcuffs were removed but Obama is too concerned about offending our enemies , so yes Bush made mistakes and had many blunders but Obama is much worse, We never would have won world war 2 with the way we fight wars today

Obamas father from Kenya is a noted muslim extremest and his mother reportedly converted ti islam soon after he was born, Obama reportedly spent time in a muslim school as a youth, so the seeds were already being planted. So we may indeed already have a muslim president much to Dr Carsons dismay,His claims of being a christian are in question in light of his soft on terror stances such as releasing gitmo inmates , refusal to use maximum military force to confront ISIS and his embarassing constant appoligies to other countries for America, He also never says the word muslim extremest and when homegrown terrorests commit atrocities in this country he refers to them as workplace vioence, Never has much to say when christians are slaughtered by terrorists but always praises islam in his speeches, Sure sounds ike a muslim to me

What would Kennedy have done ? we all know that Russia would have been given an ultimatium to leave or face the consequences , also feel that this war on terror would have been over several years ago because the country had real leaders back then unlike today when we are more concerned with not offending anyone than winning wars. someone like this clown with the Alfred E Neuman smile would never been elected back then anyway, now he wants to sign executive orders to bypass congress to get his agendas thru,He really does consider himself a dictator,
Queen Hillary or should i say Billary would just continue Zero's policies , Bigger government, socialist agendas, soft terror stances, letting everyone named Mohammod come over here to spread their hate, She just talks louder than O but really is no different, The republicans talk tough but most of them are lambs pretending to be lions for the sake of getting elected, then the promises go down the drain once their elected, The fact that someone like Obama can get elected not once but twice speaks to a more serious problem with the voters in this country. You have to pass a drivers test to get a licence, maybe they should require IQ tests before allowing people to vote. Their must be millions of dumb people voting these days
From Obama to Hillary, thats a frightning thought , She is virtually unopposed for the democratic nomination and based on the last two elections have no faith in voters anymore. How could anyone vote for her, she is not very likeable , comes off as cold and calculating and dosent have Obamas presence , basicly people who would vote for her would only do so because she is still married to Bill and they think he would be the one back in office. They would really be voting for Bill Clinton again in their minds. What has this country come too?
Actually Bill Clinton was a pretty good president , dosent really matter who he was sleeping with, face it politicians for the most part are corrupt most of them anyway, JFK was notorious for his extra maratial affairs and that didn't hurt his legacy , of course back then you didn't have the media scrutiny of today, Hillary is just riding Bills coattails , without him no one would even know who she is. I agree that any vote for her is really a vote for Bill, Their marriage is really nothing more than a business partnership anyway. Anyone though even she would be better than Obama
Just when you want to put the Obama bashing to rest comes the horrible terrorist attacks in Paris. A horrible thing , im sure they consider it their 9/11 , While you would think that it would wake people up, what does our fearess leader do. As predicted he gives another of his passionless speeches designed not to offend anyone especially Muslims , while saying that he intends to stay the course by allowing Syrian refugees into this country at the same time he continues to release more Gitmo savages so that they can come back to possibly harm us at a later date. Nothing fazes this clown, he is irepressable in his determination to get his agendas in place before he leaves office regardless of whats best for the country. Imagine what it must be like to be in the military and have this bozo as the commander and chief., The rules of engagement these days make it impossibe to win wars anymore, As Col Ralph Peters recently said if Patton and other military leaders from the past were around to today, they would be considered war criminals, What a shame
France has closed its borders at least for the time being and has upped its air strikes on Isis,Russia with Putin is doing the same even though his motives are self serving. America with Obama ? while nothing different of course , same stragady designed more to avoid colatiaral damage than to defeat the enemy
