ENGLAND - In November 1994, The Black Crowes released their third album, entitled Amorica. The album cover, which featured a picture taken from a 1976 bi-centennial edition of Hustler that showed a bikini bottom that failed to cover all of a women’s pubic hair, generated a host of controversy. Some retailers refused to carry the album until the record company re-issued the disc with an alternate cover. Despite the controversy - or maybe because of it - Amorica climbed to #11 on the Billboard charts. This FM broadcast captures the Black Crowes in London on October 25, 1994, 26 years ago today, providinvg a preview of their soon to be released controversial disc.
