If David Bowie's record lable wanted his debut album to get noticed, it picked the wrong day to release it. On June 1, 1967, as Bowie's record hit stores, so did another little disc - Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band! Bowie's album was a critical and commerical failure and he eventually lost his recordingf contract. Fortunately, better days lay ahead for the late great performer. This FM broadcast capturees him during those more successful times, on tour in support of the album Heathern, 35 years after the Summer Of Lover, a 2 decades ago today, in New York on June 15, 2002.
