1994; In November 1994, Eric Clapton played a series off shows, all at intimate venues, where the set list featured nothing but the blues. No Layla, no Sunshine of Your Love, no Lay Down Sally, etc. Nope, EC went back to his roots and broke out ones blues classic after another. The Fillmore shows from early in this run have circulated pretty extensively and are fairly easy to find on the web. So, I decided to bring you something a little more rare, a high quality audience recording (Geetatz rates the sound quality as 5 out of 6) from EC's show at Irving Plaza in New York on November 27, 1994, 23 years ago today.
