The Who - 1969-11-02 - Washington, DC (SBD)

1969: Just about 2 months after their historic Woodstock performance, The Who were back in the United States continuing to tour in support of Tommy, the 2 disc rock opera that might be the band’s greatest work. The tour began on October 10 in Boston and ran until November 16, finishing in Syracuse. The tour included a 6 night stand at the legendary Fillmore East in New York from October4 20 to 25. This soundboard recording captures The Who just about a week after the Fillmore run, on November 2, 1969, 4 dozen years ago today, in Washington DC.
