2004: On October 19, 2004, the former John Cougar released the album Words & Music: John Mellencamp's Greatest Hits. The 2-disc set was  a retrospective of Mellencamp's career to that point, featuring at least one song from each of his studio albums released between 1978's A Biography and 2003's Trouble No More. Two songs, "Walk Tall" and "Thank You," were recorded exclusively for the album. No songs from Mellencamp's 1976 debut album, Chestnut Street Incident, or 1983's The Kid Inside were included on the set.  This TV Soundboard recording captures Mellencamp on A&E By Request on November 11, 2004, 13  years ago today, playing tunes from the 2 disc collection.
