Support Why Hunger

If you are enjoying our 50 year retrospective here at So Many Roads this month, then I ask you to do one thing - Please send a donation to Why Hunger.

As Thanksgiving approaches, we tend to think of feasts, food, family and friends. But for many in this country and across the world, food isn't a given. HUNGER remains one of the greatest problems across the globe.

WhyHunger was founded in 1975 by the late musician Harry Chapin and Radio DJ Bill Ayres on the fundamental belief that access to nutritious food is a human right and hunger is a solvable problem in a world of abundance. What began as a simple commitment between two friends to make a difference has grown into a global non-profit, celebrating over 40 years of steadfast support in building a broad-base social movement led by the grassroots to change the systems, policies and institutions that perpetuate hunger and poverty in our world.

I grew up listening to the Hungerthon campaigns on WNEW-FM as a kid. It made lasting impression on me, as artsist such as CSNY, Bruce Springsteen, the Grateful Dead and so many more came together to raise money to fight hunger.  Rock and roll has played a vital role in supporting this endavor to end hungeer, so if you enjoy the music we post here, please take a moment and donate.

Thanks in advance for supporting such a worthwhile cause.
