Los Lobos appeared at the 2nd Farm Aid, held on July 4, 1986 at Manor Downs racetrack in Manor Tx. Less than a year later the band would gain widespread critical and commercial success with the release of the album by the Light of The Moon, and a cover of Ritchie Valen's tune La Bamba, which went to #1 on the Billboard charts.
