Believe it or not, CSNY has made only 2 appearances at Farm Aid, in 1990 and then again at the 15th anniversary show in 2000. That 15th anniversary concert was held on September 17, 2000, 16 years ago this very day, in Stone Ridge, VA. Among the performers that day were Arlo Guthrie, Sawyer Brown, Alan Jackson, Travis Tritt, The Barenaked Ladies and Willie Nelson, with a little help from Tipper Gore on drums. Co-founder Neil Young made 2 appearances on stage, a solo set and a segment with on again, off again band mates Stephen Stills, David Crosby and Graham Nash. Both sets are captured on this soundboard recording. As mentioned ion several other posts on So Many Roads, CSNY had reformed in 2000 for their first tour in over 25 years. They brought their triumphant reunion tour to a close by playing at both of Neil’s annual benefits, this Farm Aid show, and the Bridge School concerts later in October.
