Bob Dylan - 1993-06-19 - Beersheba, Israel (SBD)

As the Summer of Love dawned in June 1967, Bob Dylan was conspicuous by his absence. Dylan was still recovering from his motorcycle accident a year earlier, and declined an invitation to play at Monterey Pop.  While Dylan wasn't making public appearances, that didn't mean he wasn't working. In the spring of 1967, he began recording with the Hawks who as we all know would become The Band at his home and The Hawks' nearby house, which they affectionately called Big Pink. Those sessions would eventually be released in 1975 as The Basement Tapes. By the way, after they finished recording with with Dylan, The Hawks continued working, developing the tracks that would eventually comprise their 1968 debut album, Music From Big Pink.  This soundboard recording captures Dylan 26 years after the Basement Tape sessions, in Israel on June 19, 1993, 2 dozen years ago today.
