While I'm not a huge fan of Fleetwood Mac, their amazing commercial success in the mid to late 1970's can't be overlooked. Their 1975 self titled album, which introduced the band's new line up including Lindsay Buckingham and Stevie Nicks, sold over 4 million copies, went to number 1 on the Billboard charts, and established the band as superstars. Their follow up disc, Rumours, which chronicled the disintegration of the relationships between band members John and Christine McVie and between Buckingham and Nicks (not to mention Mick Fleetwood's divorce!), became one of the biggest selling albums of all time. The two albums also helped launch another new rock trend - a glossy, polished, highly produced sound that in many ways became synonymous with the album/radio oriented rock of the decade. This soundboard, from 36 years ago today, May 18, 1977, catches the band just a month after the release of Rumours, at the peak of their commercial and critical acclaim.

A very nice recording! As you were saying about yourself,I have a moderate interest in Fleetwood Mac. There are a few songs I get into,and this cool tape lets me hear most of them. Thanks!

Many thanks for this one. IMO the best period of Fleetwood Mac was when they were the finest blues outfit in the UK with the great Peter Green on guitar.Anyone into that British blues boom and not heard them should check them out immediately :)
Nice concert from "The Mac", right from my era too. :-) Of course I have all of the sixties instilled into me also courtesy of my older brother and sisters.
