Our 4th Dead concert today leaps into the 1990s.  This soundboard recording captures the Dead in Hebron, OH on July 1, 1992, 23 years ago today.

1992 in Grateful Dead History

• Bruce Hornsby, who joined the Dead in 1990, along with Vince Welnick, to take over keyboard in the wake of Brent Mydland’s death, officially leaves the band, though he would sit in with them on occasion in the years to come.
• The Grateful Dead donate tie-dyed uniforms to Lithuania's bronze-medal-winning Olympic basketball team
• The band releases Two from the Vault, featuring the Shrine Auditorium concert from August 24, 1969.  The Vault series of live releases would eventually be followed by Dicks Picks.
• The only live show released from this year is December 16, 1992 (Dick’s Picks 27).
