Another unlikely pairing that truly did happen. On October 18, 1988, The Bangles, after opening for George Michael at the Superdome, headed over to Kiefer Lakefront Arena, where they joined the Dead for an encore of Iko Iko and Knockin on Heaven’s Door. So, to commemorate one of the most unusual Grateful Dead collaborations, we bring you this HQ audience recording of the Bangles live on July 14, 2011, 4 years ago today.

I was there in '88 at my only Dead show - Nevilles jammed during the Drum Solo and the Bangles came up for the encore after opening for George Michael earlier that night. Thanks
